Manychat's ads strategy: creators sell it, comment by comment

Manychat runs 1,456 active Meta ads. In our sample of 205, 89 run under creators' names and 72 ask viewers to comment a keyword.

Published . Ads collected from the public Meta, Google and LinkedIn ad libraries.

Manychat had 1,456 active Meta ads when we checked, and in our sample of 205, 89 run under a creator's name instead of Manychat's. Most of those 89 are a creator on camera asking you to comment a keyword so an automated DM sends the link: the ad is a live demo of the product it sells. Manychat's own page fills the gaps with plain text-quote cards built around customers' numbers.

Key findings

  • 89 of 205 sampled Meta ads run as partnership ads under 30 different creator names, and 78 of those 89 are videos.
  • 72 of the 89 creator ads ask viewers to comment a keyword (QUERO, LINK, MANYCHAT, PARTY) to get the link by DM, and 53 offer a free month of Manychat Pro.
  • 7 of the 8 most-duplicated creatives in the sample are creator or partner ads; the top one, from PucciStudio, runs as 8 ads.
  • Manychat's own page ran 116 ads in the sample, and 106 of them are dynamic-format ads built from text cards such as "Mi alcance creció un 172% con Manychat."
  • 22 of the 24 ads Meta ranks highest by impressions are in Spanish or Portuguese, and Brazil has the most active ads of any country we checked (107).
  • 82% of sampled ads send people to a web sign-up page; the other 37 (18%) go straight to the iOS App Store with Install now.
  • On LinkedIn, 8 of the 12 cards we captured advertise one job, Director of Content & Social, and 2 more are the CMO's own posts.

Creators front 43% of the ads, and the ad is the product demo

Of the 205 Meta ads we sampled, 116 run under the Manychat page and 89 under a creator's name with Manychat paying. That is Meta's partnership ad setup, and Manychat uses it at scale: 30 distinct creator names, from Mirandamorey (15 ads) and Thecreativelena (11) to Jessi Jean Home and Alex.petrakieva (7 each). Their ads are almost all video (78 of 89) and carousel (11). None of them is a static image.

The script repeats across languages. A creator explains a pain, then asks for a comment. "Comenta QUERO que eu te envio o link para testar a @manychat grátis!" "Comment PARTY and I'll send you 30 days of Manychat Pro for free!" "Comenta “10” para tener ACCESO GRATIS a #Manychat PRO durante 30 días." 72 of the 89 creator ads use a comment keyword like this. Each comment that triggers a DM shows the viewer the exact feature being sold. 53 of the 89 offer a free month of Pro, longer than the 14-day trial on the pricing page, and 5 add a personal coupon code such as PUCCI or ISLAM.SOUSA, which lets Manychat attribute sign-ups per creator.

The frames are low-production phone video. A man holds a phone up to the lens showing an Instagram comment thread with the Manychat wordmark over it. Another sits at a curved monitor showing the Manychat and Meta logos. A woman in a red blouse smiles under a caption that reads DEMITIDA (fired). A bearded creator at a desk lists "8 ferramentas que trabalham por mim" (8 tools that work for me). These are creators' own sets, not a studio shoot.

Creator partnership ads ranked 1, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 23 by impressions. Each asks for a comment keyword or a coupon code.

These ads also get the most scaling. Of the 8 creatives in the sample duplicated 5 or more times, 7 are creator or partner ads. PucciStudio's "Comenta LINK que eu te mando no Direct ou use o cupom PUCCI" runs as 8 ads, the most of any creative we saw. Two of the partner pages are named Teste and Manychat Test Page, which looks like internal pages used to run creator content.

Manychat's own ads are text cards that borrow customers' numbers

On its own page, Manychat runs mostly dynamic-format ads (106 of 116), where Meta mixes headlines, text and assets per placement. The creative inside them is plain: a big black or yellow type card with a verified-badge tooltip naming a creator category and follower count. "Con Manychat, generé $135,000 con solo dos publicaciones." sits under a Creador de marketing, 600 mil seguidores badge. "Meu alcance cresceu 172% com a Manychat" sits under Creator de gastronomia, 789k seguidores. A third card says "Los creadores que usan automatización por DM crecen hasta un 742% más rápido."

The numbers match the landing pages. The real-job page lists "$135,000 from 2 posts" and "1.6M accounts reached (a 172% increase)", and the Instagram product page credits the 172% figure to creator Hannah Stewart. The ad strips the name and keeps the number and the follower count. The few photo creatives use stock-style people: a man in a hoodie checking his watch under "10 hours: the average comment response time", with chat bubbles answering "Manychat's response time: less than 5 minutes".

Brand-page creatives: quote cards with a follower-count badge, a stat card, and the one photo ad in English.

The headline set is wide. The 116 brand ads use 41 distinct bodies and 42 distinct headlines. One headline does the heavy lifting; the rest test angles around speed, launches and staying human.

The newer English copy, launched from September, moves toward objections: "Automation That Sounds Like You", "Automate Without Losing Your Voice" and "Keep Launch Leads Warm". The older July batch in Spanish and Portuguese sells reach and follower growth: "Mismo contenido, más alcance. Esa es la magia de Manychat."

The top of Meta's impressions ranking speaks Spanish and Portuguese

Meta's own sort by impressions puts Spanish and Portuguese ads on top. 22 of the 24 highest-ranked ads are in one of those two languages; only "Automate IG. Sell More." (rank 8) and the watch photo (rank 21) are in English. Country counts point the same way: Brazil has more active ads than any other market we checked, and the US sits well below the EU's biggest markets.

Volume is rising. By start date, the sample has 4 ads from June, 25 from July, 46 from August, 87 from September and 43 from the first three weeks of October. Manychat ships new batches on fixed days: 21 ads started on 13 October and 20 on 28 September. Placements lean wide: 150 of 205 ads include Messenger, 39 include Threads, and only 13 run on Instagram alone.

82% of the ads go to a free sign-up page, the rest to the App Store

Sign up is the CTA on 133 of 205 ads. Most clicks land on a localized page on get.manychat.com. The Instagram product page opens with "Your Instagram just got smarter" and a sign-up button that authenticates through Facebook, with a free trial and no credit card. Creator ads about content as a career land on the real-job page, headlined "Not a real job? It's the dream job.", which repeats the creator theme of the ads that point there. Paid plans start at $14 a month, and a free plan covers 25 contacts, per the pricing page.

The App Store slice is mostly the speed message. Of the 37 Install now ads, 22 are brand dynamic ads, all headlined "Automate IG. Sell More.", and the copy leans on an unsourced claim that "Creators who respond in <5 mins convert 100x better." The same headline also runs to web pages, so the app route reads as a parallel test. The real-job page is almost entirely fed by creators (25 of 28 ads), so that funnel is a creator-only test.

Google carries search and YouTube; LinkedIn is for hiring and the CMO

The Google Ads Transparency Center shows about 2,000 ads for manychat.com under one verified advertiser, ManyChat, Inc. Of the 12 we captured, 9 are video and 3 are text. The search ads target the category: "Automate your Instagram - Accelerate Instagram Growth", with sitelinks for Best Instagram DM Bot, Pricing and Build an Instagram Chatbot, and "Boost IG Engagement - Instagram Links Sent by DM". Video titles follow the Meta languages: "Manychat para creadores de IG", "Tenha um Público Engajado", "Your DMs are full of buyers". One capture failed to load in the library.

LinkedIn shows up to 109 ads for Manychat, and every card we captured belongs to Manychat. They are not selling the product. 8 of the 12 cards recruit a Director of Content & Social in Austin or New York, with bold type cards like "Want to launch ideas while they're still relevant?" and "What's better: safe and approved, or great and remembered". One is a recruiter's personal post promoted by Manychat. Two are thought-leader ads from CMO Ido Mart, and two more brand posts reuse his Inc. byline: "Content earns attention, but attention alone pays nothing."

What to take from it

  1. Make the ad do what the product does. 72 of Manychat's 89 creator ads ask for a comment that triggers a DM, so the viewer tries the product before they reach the landing page. If your product has a visible action, build the ad around it.
  2. Scale creators, not just brand creative. 7 of the 8 most-duplicated creatives are creator ads. Run partnership ads under many names (Manychat uses 30) and give each creator a keyword or coupon so you can attribute results.
  3. Give creators a better offer than your site. Creators offer 30 days of Pro; the pricing page offers 14. A creator-only offer gives the creator something to announce.
  4. Turn testimonials into type cards. A quote plus a follower-count badge ("$135,000 con solo dos publicaciones") is cheap to make in five languages and matches the proof on the landing page.
  5. Localize before you translate the funnel. Spanish and Portuguese ads hold 22 of the top 24 impressions spots, and the landing pages have /es/ and /pt/ versions to match.

How we collected this

We read the Meta Ad Library, the Google Ads Transparency Center and the LinkedIn Ad Library logged out on 2026-10-21. From Meta's reported 1,456 active ads we sampled 205 across several first-page views (top by impressions, newest, image, video and per country), so the counts above describe the sample, not every ad. Impressions rank is Meta's own ordering of active ads, not a spend figure, and Meta shows no spend data for ads outside the EU. Google's total is the library's approximate count; LinkedIn's is the result count for an advertiser-name search.
